Merry Christmas to Everyone!

Just a short note to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! It’s been an amazing year. I shot ten wedding for ten wonderful couples. Each one being special in their own way. I would also like to thank everyone who reads my blog and inspires me to continue to keep up my blog. Thank You Everyone! I won’t be posting too many things between now and the New Year. My little girls come home tomorrow afternoon and we’ll be playing with all their new toys and resting a little.

Here’s our tree this year. We used to always string it with colored lights, but our new one came pre-lit with white little. It’s so nice.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Andrew & Lauren’s Engagement

The other day I went out to shoot Lauren and Andrew’s Engagement Session. I expected it to be a cool day, but turned out to be very nice autumn like weather. We shot part of the session at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken and the other at the Riverwalk downtown. Lauren and Andrew were so easy to photograph. When two people in love it makes things so much easier.

To Lauren and Andrew: Thank you for allowing me work with you. I can’t wait until your wedding day. It’s going to be awesome.

Below are some of my faves as well as a slideshow. Please give the slideshow a minute to load, it’s well worth the wait.

Happy Birthday To Me!!!!

happybirthday.jpg

Today is my 29th birthday! Happy Birthday to me! I usually keep it kind of low key on my birthday. This year I’m taking my kids to see National Treasure: Book of Secrets and then were going to The Olive Garden for dinner. Nothing special, but it should be lots of fun.

Also, my mom, dad, and sister will be coming to town for Christmas on Saturday. I can’t wait to see them. They moved to Syracuse, NY this year for mom’s career. They’ve been enjoying tons of snow, which we don’t get too often her in Georgia. It should feel like summer to them.

I’ll put a movie review up Saturday after I see the movie.

Chow for now!

The Time Bank

I found this very interesting blog post by Joe Photo this morning. Read on and have a great day!

Chew on this one today. Happy Sunday!!

Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening the bank deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course!!!!

Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME.

Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds.

Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose.

It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft.

Each day it opens a new account for you.

Each night it burns the remains of the day.

If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours.

There is no going back. There is no drawing against the “tomorrow”.

You must live in the present on today’s deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness, and success!

The clock is running. Make the most of today.

To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade.

To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train.

To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident.

Treasure every moment that you have! And reassure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time.

Remember that time waits for no one.
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is mystery.
Today is a gift.
That’s why it’s called the present!

Wedding: Kevin & Valerie

WOW! What a great wedding Saturday. Christmas weddings are always so special. Everything is decorated for Christmas, everyone is in a cheerful festive mood. Christmas weddings are such a delightful because it’s way different from the norm.

The wedding I shot Saturday was no exception. The bridal party was dressed in Christmas red with the ladies in red dresses and the guys in a traditional black and red suit. Classic Christmas attire. The church as well as the Old Government House was decorated for Christmas, adorning poinsettias and Christmas trees everywhere.

Below are some of my favorites from Saturday, but if you like slideshows, click here. NOTE: Give the slideshow a minute to load, it’s worth it.

Valerie’s 1st Bridal Session

Back in October, I shot Valerie’s 1st bridal session. We had excellent weather and shot at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, South Carolina. This is the first bridal session, because the cleaners somehow had a little accident with this dress after the session. Valerie had to later get another dress, which we all liked better. Valerie is such a beautiful women. Here are some of the shots in the ‘first’ dress.

The photos from the wedding well be posted tonight or in the morning. Check back then. Happy Monday!
