Well, I’ve finally put most of the finishing touches on my new blog. It’s been a long time coming for my new blog, but it’s finally done.

Most of you who know me, know I go by Kent, but many people always ask why ‘Lawrence Kent’? It’s very simple. I chose Lawrence K for a number of reasons. 1) My last name is Hustead. Not exactly the easiest name to spell much less say. 2) My first name is Lawrence and it is also my fathers name. 3) I always wanted to have a unique name for my business and I thought Lawrence Kent was a good way to make myself unique, but still remain my name.

To me, my blog isn’t only to showcase my wedding and portrait work but to be able to capture my personal life as well. Being able to document my day to day life pertaining to things I like, love, and want as well as display my images for the world to see. I mean how cool is it, to have a place where you can post (daily) things about your life, what you’re doing and see some of the most awesome images right online.

I absolutely love my job. With weddings it’s just the best feeling to spend time with someones family and friends on a day so special to them. Everyone all dressed up, lookin’ good, having a grand time. Taking the pictures and capturing the emotion is only half the fun. Every single client of mine is special to me. Every one brings their special thing to the table. All to make my job the greatest in the world. In turn, I’m able to provide them with lastly memories for years to come.

I hope you like my new blog. I’ve got many more things to blog about in the days to come. If you were used to checking my old Xanga blog, please bookmark the new one, as I will not be posting anymore there.

If you have if questions or comments, please feel free to e-mail me at kent@lawrencekent.com or leave a comment below.

Ciao
