This past Saturday I had the privilege to shoot a wedding for Ty Mobley & Susan Jones, who happen to be close friends of mine. Susan and Ty had such a great wedding. Every last detail was planned out perfectly. Susan and Ty dated for 7 years and got married exactly 7 years after they started dating.
Susan is a 2nd grade school teacher and Ty is a police officer for Richmond County. Everyone had a blast at the reception. Also, because I am good friends with Susan and Ty, I was friends with many of the people at and in the wedding. It was so great see some old friends and also make some new ones.
On Saturday my second shooter, Kyle shot a wedding at our church for some very special friends of ours, Mickey & Morgan. Here’s a few of my favorites he shot.

Saturday, I had such a great wedding with Catherine and Lee. The wedding ceremony was set at Catherine parents home which was situated atop a hill with a lake below. It was a beautiful place. The ceremony was very intimate with only family and a few close friends. Their reception followed at their place on the Savannah River where they had an absolute blast of a reception. Catherine and Lee are some of the most easy going couples I’ve worked with. Their wedding from the engagement session to the ceremony to the reception truly reflected their personalities.
We had absolutely weather. The skies were bright blue with the perfect cloud cover.

Well, I’ve finally put most of the finishing touches on my new blog. It’s been a long time coming for my new blog, but it’s finally done.
Most of you who know me, know I go by Kent, but many people always ask why ‘Lawrence Kent’? It’s very simple. I chose Lawrence K for a number of reasons. 1) My last name is Hustead. Not exactly the easiest name to spell much less say. 2) My first name is Lawrence and it is also my fathers name. 3) I always wanted to have a unique name for my business and I thought Lawrence Kent was a good way to make myself unique, but still remain my name.
To me, my blog isn’t only to showcase my wedding and portrait work but to be able to capture my personal life as well. Being able to document my day to day life pertaining to things I like, love, and want as well as display my images for the world to see. I mean how cool is it, to have a place where you can post (daily) things about your life, what you’re doing and see some of the most awesome images right online.
I absolutely love my job. With weddings it’s just the best feeling to spend time with someones family and friends on a day so special to them. Everyone all dressed up, lookin’ good, having a grand time. Taking the pictures and capturing the emotion is only half the fun. Every single client of mine is special to me. Every one brings their special thing to the table. All to make my job the greatest in the world. In turn, I’m able to provide them with lastly memories for years to come.
I hope you like my new blog. I’ve got many more things to blog about in the days to come. If you were used to checking my old Xanga blog, please bookmark the new one, as I will not be posting anymore there.
