My Cousin Sarah
One of my favorite people to spend time with is my cousin Sarah from Bermuda. She’s a wealth management officer for the Bank of Butterfield in Hamilton, Bermuda. It’s scary how we finish each others sentences. She came to visit us for Thanksgiving and we took a trip to shop in North Georgia and Atlanta. I wanted to share a few of the pictures we took.

The Weather
Wow! What is going on with the weather. Just a week ago it was freezing cold and now we’re experiencing record heat. While I really don’t mind the warmth, is sure doesn’t feel like Christmas. Maybe it’ll get cold again for Christmas. What do you think about the weather?

Addison Layne
On Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at 7:44 in the morning, Addison Layne was born. Weighing 7 lbs. and 9 oz. and measuring 19.5 inches long. I shot Debbie’s maternity session in October and on Thursday I shot a few of Addison at the hospital. She’s so tiny. I can’t believe that she’s bigger than my two girls at birth. How time fly’s.
Here’s a few from the day.
She was sleeping so happily.

Here’s her proud Dad.

And her big sister Avery. She just wanted to hold her, and hold her, and hold her.

And they big Georgia fans too.

Weekend Trip to Florida
Over the weekend the girls and I took a short trip to Jacksonville, Florida to see my grandparents for Christmas (seeing that every weekend from now until Christmas is either booked with a wedding, a shoot, or my birthday. The girls absolutely loved going to see them. It was a nice break from the regular schedule.
I love both my grandparents in Jacksonville. Both of them love to garden and it really shows around their house. The grandma also does fabulous work when it comes to sewing and quilting. She surprised me with my own Shootsac covers. A few were even personalized for me. I’ll blog some of the covers soon.
They took Lauren and Haley shopping for their Christmas presents, which was the highlight of their trip. The mall is Jacksonville had a Disney Store (which is something we miss in Augusta) and they racked up there and then at Build-A-Bear Workshop.
Here is one of the flowers my grandparents have in their yard. The flowers are huge and the bush they’re on is equally large.

They also have this. At first glance you’d say it was a grapefruit tree. Nope! These are lemons, giant ones! About the size of three baseballs. They’re smelt so good.

This is a stag-horn fern they’re been growing for quite some time. These plants at this size are valued at over $1500. WOW!!

Beautiful rose bushes everywhere.

Haley and Lauren posing for me.

My future superstar.

The light was nice for these. Only a little Lightroom, no Photoshop, except the border.

Sunset
On Haley’s Birthday I saw this great sunset appear over the house and had to shoot it. I only last a few minutes, but it was amazing.
