Disney Vacation: Day 3

On the 3rd and last day of our vacation, we visited the Disney Hollywood Studios.

Just as every Disney Theme Park has a icon, the Hollywood Studios has a huge Mickey sorcerer’s hat.

disney_day3/disney_day3_002.jpg

The first we had to do we the High School Musical Show. Both Lauren and Haley love HSM.

Check out Lauren dancing.

The Tower of Terror ride is always one of my favorite. This was Lauren first time trying it. She wasn’t one bit scared to ride. I tried to get her to ride the Aerosmith Rockin’ Roller Coaster, but that would have to wait for the next trip.

And we also saw the Beauty and the Beast Show. This show is always great!

This is the ceiling in line for the Great Movie Ride. The Great Movie Ride is in a building resembling Mans Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California. I thought it was a cool ceiling.

The Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular was also good. Lauren loved the man who played Indiana Jones. I think hes makes a good Indiana Jones.

Each park has its own photography store. The Hollywood Studios has The Darkroom.

After we left Hollywood Studios, we went back to the Magic Kingdom to let the girls ride a few rides they love (like Peter Pan). Overall, it was a great trip and a deserved break. It was great to see Mom, Dad, and Amanda again. I can’t wait to the next Disney vacation, which will be later this year more than likely.

Disney Vacation: Day 2

On Day 2 we all headed to EPCOT (which in case you didn’t know stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow).

We had a blast at The Seas with Nemo and Friends.

This was such an awesome day. It was cool and we had beautiful skies. Many call it the golf ball. It’s actually a ride named Spaceship Earth. The ‘golf ball’ is a geodesic sphere. An engineering masterpiece.

The Mexico Pavilion is always fun and colorful.

Kidcot is where children (and adults) get a paper mask to decorate and then travel to each country and get it stamped and have a unique ornament attached. By the time you get all of the countries it’s a pretty cool site.

And my favorite shot. I shot this one just as we were leaving. I nailed the exposure. Picture perfect shot.

Day 3 coming up next!

Disney Vacation: Day 1

Last Saturday, my mom and dad, sister, grandmother, both my daughters and I started a short vacation at Walt Disney World. Mom, Dad, and my sister Amanda flew down from Syracuse. We arrived late Friday evening and got settled in for three days of fun. My family have been going to Disney World for years. It’s where we prefer to vacation. There is so much to do and see.

It pretty much rained off and on all day Saturday, so I wasn’t able to take as many photos as I liked, but I do have these.

We stayed at the new Pop Century Resort which is based on taking a trip down memory lane celebrating pop culture of the 20th-century. This is the mug you can buy and basically free refills on soda, coffee, tea, juice the entire time you’re there. Awesome deal.

disney001.jpg

Day 1: Off to the Magic Kingdom.

disney002.jpg

The front of the resort is lined with these huge ‘POP’ structures. I think there was six total. Kids play on them all the time.

disney003.jpg

Here’s my dad on the bus to the Magic Kingdom.

disney004.jpg

Ahh Sir Mickey’s. One of the many shops in the park. This one was in Fantasyland.

disney005.jpg

And the ever popular ‘It’s A Small World‘. BEWARE: If you ride this one, you’ll be singing or humming the ride tune all day.

disney006.jpg

Here’s Haley waiting to ride Peter Pan. Her favorite ride. We rode it three times.

disney007.jpg

Haley on the Mad Tea Party.

disney011.jpg

I thought this is cool. Popcorn plants growing in front of The Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm.

disney013.jpg

And Haley got her gun after the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

disney014.jpg

That was it from Day 1 at the Magic Kingdom. Check back later today or in the morning for Day 2: EPCOT.

Bux.to

A short while ago I was listening to Chris Pirillo talk about Bux.to. Chris Pirillo is a highly respected member of the tech community and has an enormous following. He was talking about Bux.to.

At Bux.to, you get paid to click on ads and visit websites. The process is easy! You simply click a link and view a website for 30 seconds to earn money. You can earn even more by referring friends. You’ll get paid $0.01 for each website you personally view and $0.01 for each website your referrals view. Payment requests can be made every day and are processed through PayPal. The minimum payout is $10.00.

Earnings Example
» You click 10 ads per day = $0.10
» 20 referrals click 10 ads per day = $2.00
» Your daily earnings = $2.10
» Your weekly earnings = $14.70
» Your monthly earnings = $63.00

The above example is based only on 20 referrals and 10 daily clicks. Some days you will have more clicks available, some days you will have less. What if you had more referrals? What if there were more ads available?

Join now and receive a $0.05 Sign-up Bonus

I am also running a contest for this. Between right now and and the end of March, I will be running a contest. The person with the most clicks will receive a $25 (or $50) gift card to the retailer of their choice. That’s right. Win money and gift cards for just clicking. How easy is that?

VERY IMPORTANT!! In order to qualify for the gift card you MUST use lawrencek in the referring field when you sign up.

Each Friday, I will post an update to the blog on the progress of the contest.

A Little Vacation Time

Tomorrow, we’re off on a little 4 day vacation. We are meeting my parents and sister at Disney friday night. Ever since I’ve been very little we’ve gone to Walt Disney World. I think this is my 54th trip (I’m sure I’m off a bit, but it’s high). I hope I’ll be able to post some images while we’re there, but if I don’t I’ll definitely have lots upon my return.

Many people disagree, but Disney rocks. It’s got something (well lots of things) for everyone. I never get tired of Disney World. One of my goals before I turn 50 is to visit all of the Disney Theme Parks worldwide.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Valerie & Kevin’s Album Design

Valerie & Kevin got married in December at Burns Methodist Church. They were so great. I absolutely love this couple. Click here to view their album design–keep in mind that the finished album is 10×10 inches in size.

I forgot! Photos from Christmas

I cannot believe I forgot to post some of my photos from Christmas. I guess I got wrapped up in everything and forgot.

Here’s my (left to right) brother, mom, and sister.

xmas0703.jpg

My grandpa always puts little trinkets on presents. Both of my kids got a gift with a little train on it.

xmas0702.jpg

Here’s my dad. He’s always videoing everything. Ever since I can remember he did. I remember the 20 pound giant VHS Beta Recorder from long ago.

xmas0701.jpg

Lauren dancing.

xmas0706.jpg

Lauren is always so willing to smile for me. She’s a dream!

xmas0707.jpg

Lauren had to have shoes like Dad, except mine aren’t pink and don’t have sparkling butterflies.

xmas0705.jpg

xmas0704.jpg

And my chef Haley. She absolutely loved this one. I think she wore it all day.
