Life = Risk or Risk = Life

Risking or failing part of the learning. We all fail so many times and give up. If you give up you can never realize your dreams.

Happy Thursday!!

New Shots of Max

It’s been a while since I last posted. I’ve had internet connection problems all week. I was completely aggrevated but I think I’ve got it fixed now.

Last Saturday, I got to take some new pictures of Max and Connor. Max recently turned two. Max is like the Energizer Bunny, he’s keeps going, and going, and you get the pictures. He did such a good job me. Here’s a few.

Heather & Donnie’s Wedding

Saturday, I had a great wedding with Donnie and Heather at Julian Smith Casino. We had planned to have the ceremony outside at the gazebo but about an hour before the ceremony the heavens opened and it poured. Donnie, Heather, and their wedding coordinators took every in stride and quickly switched everything indoors. They did a fantastic job switching everything so quickly.

Here’s a slideshow of your of my favorites from the day. You can watch it below or click here to see it on its own screen. There is some images below as well.

The flower girl was totally cute. About half way down she ran out of flowers and look what she did. So cute!

I’ve been doing a little experimenting with texture overlays. I tried this stoney overlay. What do you think about it?

Cake was flying everywhere. My bags weren’t sitting too far from the cake and when I got home to clean the bag out I found icing in the bottom. How’d that get there?

The groom smashed her. (sorry Heather, I had to post this one)

Last Minute Engagement Session

This past Saturday I shot a last minute engagement session for Donnie and Heather. They will be getting married this Saturday, May 10. We had the shoot at the Augusta Gardens downtown. The park used the be the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame and Botanical Gardens. It used to be absolutely gorgeous, but now we’re probably going to lose it to a new baseball stadium. I really hate to see it go.

Here’s a couple for the session. BTW – These two are CRAZY!

Meghan & Henry’s Wedding

Friday was Henry & Meghan’s wedding at Sacred Heart Cultural Center. The weather was absolutely perfect. Cool and calm day. The perfect day to shoot a wedding.

Click on the play button below to view their slideshow here or click here to see it on its own screen. Please be patient while it loads. It’s worth it. I’ve also included some of the images below if slideshows aren’t your thing.

Photoshop Actions

Lately, I’ve been working on several different Photoshop actions and one I’ve come to love is a soft focus technique. It basically softens the photo and punches the color up. While it will work on most color images, it certainly doesn’t fit every one of them.

Here’s a couple examples straight from the camera with before and afters.
