WWW.LAWRENCEKENT.COM is up!

FINALLY!!  My new website is alive.  I simply love my website.  It gives my the flexibility to update it quickly without a lot labor intensive steps.  I’m able to showcase all my work the way I want to, not how some template designer wanted.

I built the website using ShowIt Sites.  David Jay and his crew out in Santa Barbara have worked on this for a while now and it’s finally here.  ShowIt Sites is the best website creation and management software out.  I can’t begin to thank him enough for his inspiration, business know-how, and motivation among many other things.

ShowIt Sites is still in beta and should be released fully in the next couple of months.

Here’s the home page.  Head on over to www.lawrencekent.com and check it out.

Meghan’s Bridal Shoot

Back on May 2, 2008, Meghan and Henry got married at Sacred Heart Cultural Center.  Meghan had wanted to do a bridal shoot, but didn’t want chance getting here dress dirty before the wedding.

Yesterday, we got to shoot her bridals and because the wedding was over we were able to do get some different shots without having to worry about the dress (which was already somewhat dirty).

We shot at several locations around Augusta.  We shot at Lafayette Center downtown, which is a little hidden gem with nice shade, waterfalls, and even an abandoned warehouse, which I gladly used.  The waterfall was turned off but it was still nice.  We shot a few and the Riverwalk and up on the Augusta State campus.

Meghan looked gorgeous in her gown and we couldn’t have picked a better date and time.  The clouds moved in and a nice breeze came through.  It was nice to here it a little cooler than the usual June inferno.

Meghan did such a good job with her own hair and her friend, who was also a bridesmaid, came down to do her make-up.  Heather is an awesome make-up artist.

Here’s a couple of my favs.

Lauren in the Summer

Well it’s full blown summer.  Both of the girls have been swimming everyday.  It certainly shows in the blonde hair.  In the winter it’s a pretty brown color, but with the combination of sun and chlorine, it turns a bright blonde.

Lauren has now lost a total of 5 teeth with the most recent being Sunday night.  It just creeps me out to see both girls sit there and wiggle and twist their loose teeth.  Gross!!!

Here’s a shot of Lauren from today.  We sat outside on the porch and swang a while.

Also, the website is almost fully designed.  I am working with the design and software company testing everything before they take the new software out of beta.  I been using ShowIt Sites to design everything.  It’s very simple to use and provides you with the option of use some of their templates.  I’ve decides to custom design everything.  David Jay has yet again taken his knowledge and experience to another level and used it to help everyone with ShowIt Sites.  Now if he could just get it out of beta the site would be done.

2008 US Open

I’ve been meaning to post about this all week but have had so going on, I couldn’t.

The 108th U.S. Open was held this past week at Torrey Pines in San Diego, California.  The whole spectulation this week was Tiger Woods recently repaired knee.  Just to sum everything up quickly, Tiger is simply amazing.  AGAIN!  Sinking monster putts, chipping in for the birdie save, but the ultimate was when Tiger had to make the putt, he did.

Tiger plays Rocco Mediate on Monday, June 16, 2008 in an 18 hole playoff, which should be a very interesting battle.  Torrey Pines and the USGA have put up yet another epic tournament for everyone to enjoy.  Watch the playoff tomorrow starting at 12pm EDT.
