While I was out on my little month long break from blogging, I came across a website called “The Story of Stuff”. The Story of Stuff exposes the connections between a huge number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and just world. It’ll teach you something, it’ll make you laugh, and it just may change the way you look at all the stuff in your life forever.
The movie presented is one that’ll open your eyes, give you on of those ‘ah ha’ moments. I personally agree with Annie on these issues we face, but a lot of what’s conveyed will be hard to change. We are a “stuff’ driven society. I, myself, was a stuff person until I realized that it made no sense having it. My shopping habits these days has changed dramatically. I seriously think about every non-essential thing I buy these days. I pick it up and say “do I really need these?”, or “how will this improve things?”.
What kind of stuff can you eliminate?
