Well Canon finally released new 5D Mark II. I had been tossing around thenotion of getting the first 5D that was released several year because of the full-frame sensor, the low noise at high ISO’s, the brillant colors it produced, and the sweet price drop as of late.
The new one has everything but the kitchen sink. It can capture up to 21 megapixel images which will be great for those large 40×60 or 24×36 premium prints. It also has two small RAW modes which will allow me to take plenty of shots at a wedding without filling up memory cards but still capture in the RAW format. It comes with the Live View mode like my 40D, it has the 2 High ISO setting for me to be able and shoot at ultra low light levels, a newly improved 3″ LCD, and the DIGIC 4 processor. It also has a new feature that I think is the first on the market. It can capture High Definition video at 1920×1080 pixels. That’s a first for DSLR cameras. It also allows us to capture still images and video with one piece of equipment and still use the awesome Canon EF lenses. The camera also provides an HDMI output for quick and easy HD viewing.
It has so many new features, but those are just a few. The 5D Mark II should be for sale by late November starting at $2,699. Needless to say, I’ll be picking one of those up around that time. Check it out below.

With the battery grip.

I can’t to get this and start shooting some awesome weddings with it. Check out the review on dpreview.com here.
