At the beginning of the summer I finally was fed up with my PC. I needed to take my creativeness to the next level and to help facilitate that process I made the commitment to switch the Mac. It was hard for me to decide which Mac to go with. Laptop or a desktop, 15 inch or a 20 inch, black or white? So many options! I finally settled on a 24″ iMac. It had everything I needed for now. I really nice 24″ display, everything bundled together, a decent processor, standard amounts RAM (which I would of course upgrade immediately), and a sweet sizes hard drive. Brand new, everything was going to run about $2,200. Geez, was I really spending that much on a computer. Yep – I would, but I didn’t have too. I actually found out the Apple sells refurbished units at a much lower cost. I found my 24″ iMac in the Refurbished Apple Store online for only $1,299 plus the cost of Apple Care. What a steal!!!
Apple guaranteed everything with Apple Care for 3 years. It was a no brainer.
I absolutely love everything about this computer. Apple is at the forefront of personal and business computers. Every time I go the use a PC, it just seems so old dated. Not so cool! Here’s the model I got. It wasn’t the new released aluminum iMac, but was still awesome! Going from 19″ to 24″ was WOW!! Complete happiness!

Lately I’ve been kicking around the idea of upgrade from my HP 15″ Pro Laptop to an Apple MacBook, but just wanted to wait until something new was released. I used to se my laptop all the time. Especially at receptions to show some of the images we got from the wedding day. I also used it for editing on the go, watching movies, etc. But lately I haven’t touched the thing. Only for the occasional audio edit or on the go need, it just sat there.
Well Apple just released the new MacBook and MacBook Pro. It is super nice. It’s made from one solid block of aluminum, has a comfortable, backlit keyboard, ultra fast graphics chip, glass-like trackpad, and many others endless features. Plus, it’s affordable. I’ll be ordering one today or tomorrow and I’ll post an update when it arrives. So that means I will be selling a Windows Laptop very soon! If you know anyone who may be interested, please let me them know to contact me. They can e-mail me at kent@lawrencekent.com.
