U2 360 Tour

In October I’ll finally get to see you of the greatest bands of all time perform.  U2 is bringing their 360 Tour to Atlanta and I have tickets. WOO HOO!!

U2 is one of the last remaining bands that have the capability to sell out the giantic venues.  Their set on this tour absolutely amazing.  They promise to give everyone a front row seat.  Go to http://360.u2.com and take a virtual tour of the stage set.  From all of the reviews I have read, everyone is saying this is their best tour yet.  Most concerts you see in Atlanta are either at Phillips Arena, the Gwinnett Civic Center or Lakewood.  This set is so big they had to use the Georgia Dome.  It’s mammoth.

Check it the video below that has footage from their opening night in Barcelona, Spain.

The Social Media Revolution

Please take 4.5 minutes to watch this short video on social media.  Is it a fad?  Are you using it?  To your advantage?  To others advantage?  Follow me at on Twitter here or become my friend on Facebook here.  I don’t think social media is going anywhere.  Check it out and leave a comment below.

Have a great weekend!!

The Unfinished Church – Bermuda | Augusta Wedding Photographer

For my last post from Bermuda is about the Unfinished Church in the St. George’s Parish.  It’s a beautiful structure of a unfinished church.  Here’s an excerpt from Bermuda4u.com -

They say God’s work is never done and this church certainly isn’t complete.

Work commenced on this intended replacement for St Peter’s Church in 1874 but bickering within the Anglican community coupled with severe storm damage caused the project to be abandoned.  Now acquired by the Bermuda National Trust, the roofless structure offers some good photographic opportunities.

The chuch is located to the north of St George, on the way to Tobacco Bay.

Here’s a few of the photos are shot.  All black and white.

The view from the Fairmont Southhampton Princess.  It’s a view of the Dockyards.  If you visit Bermuda, even if you don’t stay at the Fairmont, go have their breakfast.  It is the best.

And yes found some farm animals down in St. George’s.  Some guy came by and asked if we wanted some curried goat.  Ummm, sorry dude.  Not today.

An old door with so much character.

A door to a secret garden maybe. No just an old door.

My cousin wanted me to shoot this area all week and finally on the day I was leaving we stopped.  One of the round-abouts was beautifully landscaped with sunflowers around the traffic signs.  All of the others round-abouts are just decorated with low growing flowers, except this one.

My Bermuda Escapade – Part 1 | Augusta Wedding Photographer

Last week I was fortunate enough to spend in Bermuda.  As you of you know, I’m no stranger to Bermuda. Most of the dad’s family resides in Bermuda and I’ve visited many times.  This time was a little different.  I had a wedding scheduled and was able to shoot a ton of landscape photos.  The weather on the island was beautiful, but it did get very hot.  You never realize how intense the sun can get until you’re on a tropical island.

Also, at the same time I was there, it was Bermuda 400 year celebration and their Cup Match holiday.  Cup Match is the country’s big cricket match between the Somerset Parish and the St. George’s Parish.  We visited the Cup Match the first day, but I had no idea how cricket was played.  So I didn’t have much interest in the game.

Below are several of the photos I took last week.  You’ll immediately see the beauty of the island. And yes the water is that color.  I’ll have more photos on tomorrow’s post and then a special post on the images I took at the Unfinished Church.

Enjoy!

Here’s the view from my cousins front door were I stayed.
