Riverwalk Augusta Engagement – Ashley & James

Here are several of my favorites from Ashley and James’ engagement session we shoot at the Riverwalk in Augusta, Georgia.

Savannah Rapids Wedding: Queta & Fitzgerald

I have been fortunate this January with weddings.  The weather has been absolutely outstanding and Queta and Fitzgerald was no exception.  The ceremony and reception were held at Savannah Rapids Pavilion in Augusta, Georgia.  All the family and friends did a fantastic job getting everything setup in the short amount of time we had.  It’s such a blessing to see everyone come together for such a momentous occasion.

It was evident of Fitzgerald’s love for Queta by the happiness that he shone as she walked down the aisle with her father.  After a beautiful ceremony, we took the time to shoot portraits of the bride and groom around the grounds of the pavilion and canal area.  With the skies being overcast, it made perfect light to get breath-taking photos of the new couple.

The reception was stunning.  All of the decorations were gorgeous.  Everyone did such a wonderful job setting it all up.  Some of the best memories were of Fitzgerald and Queta dancing together.  I could instantly see their love for each other.

To Queta and Fitzgerald – thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day.  Both of you have great families.  It was certainly evident at your wedding.  I wish both of you the best in the future.

Here are several of my favorites from their wedding and reception.  ENJOY!!!

Mardi Gras Themed Wedding: Laurie & Tony

Laurie and Tony’s wedding this Saturday was nothing short of awesome.  It was my second wedding of the year.  Normally winter weddings in January are cold and dreary.  This wedding would turn out to be the complete opposite.  With the weather being very mild and sunny, everything turned out wonderful and meant we’d be able to shoot some of the portraits outdoors.

I started with the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at Crums in Augusta, Georgia, where Laurie surprised Tony with a Tabasco bottle cake for his birthday.  He was completely amazed and the cake looked fantastic.  They also passed out some special chocolates to each guest from a bakery in New Orleans, Sucré.  The chocolates were out of this world.

We started the day at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in North Augusta, South Carolina where the ceremony would be held.  Laurie looked absolutely fabulous in her gown as she walked down the aisle to an awaiting Tony who was clearly thrilled to see her.

With Tony and most of his family being from New Orleans, their reception at the River Room at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in downtown Augusta, Georgia had a Mardi Gras theme.  It was simply spectacular.  From the décor to the music to the food, everything had a Mardi Gras / New Orleans flare.

Laurie and Tony – how can I say thank you? Both of you are amazing, kind, and kind people and being a part of your wedding was a pleasure.  Your wedding and reception was truly amazing.  Both of you did a wonderful job.  Thank you allowing us to be a small part of day.  I’m so lucky to have such a great client as you two.

And to Laurie – thank you so much for the chocolate chip and pumpkin cookies.  They are absolutely the best!  And chewy, which is my favorite.  Thank you.
