In 2009, I shot ten wonderful for ten wonderful couples.  Each one special in their own way.  I am always amazed by the selection of details in so many things for their wedding, but the bridal bouquet is always one of my favorite to photograph.  Below are the bridal bouquets for the past year (2009).

Here’s the bouquet from Ashley and Jonathan beautiful June wedding.

This was a bunch of amazing roses from Jenny Kay and Cory’s wedding in Augusta, Georgia.

Libby fall inspired bouquet was so colorful.  She also had some very special pins on the bouquet from her grandmother.

Theo and Matt’s wedding was held at an old airfield in Chester, South Carolina. Her bouquet was very fitted for the summer heat.

Here is Dena’s rose bouquet at her and Jeff’s April wedding.

Laura and Luke had an amazing fall wedding in November at Sacred Heart Cultural Center.  It was beautiful.

One of my favorites. Kim yellow lilies matched her wedding perfectly.

Lauren’s white roses are always a wedding classic. I always like the creativity of the florist when it comes to the bouquet wrap.  Some are elaborate and some are simple.

Allison had a nice bouquet of roses and lilies for her May wedding.

And finally Laura’s gorgeous bunch of red roses for her December wedding. Stunning!

On Saturday evening, I shot a wedding reception for Jami and Phil.  They got married in Jamaica in December 2009 with just close family and friends.  They had a reception at the Julian Smith Casino in Augusta, Georgia.  Here’s a couple of shots from the reception and a short session beforehand.

My last wedding in 2009, was nothing short of beautiful.  I shot it two days after Christmas.  It was absolutely beautiful despite the cold weather.  Laura and Jake had there wedding at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Augusta, Georgia.  To me, this was a very special wedding, for many reasons, but I’ll just name a few.

1. It was a Christmas wedding.  For some reason, they are so gorgeous.  Plus, most everything is already decorated and looks great.
2. The Turrentine Family – without revealing too much, this family is so close and genuine.  They made to laugh so hard.
3.  It marked an end to a great year.

The most special part of the wedding, was Laura’s dress.  It was 51 years old, but it looked brand new.  Her dress was actually worn originally but her grandmother (which you’ll see in the post), her mother, and now her.  She said it was completely yellow and musty when first got it, but after having it meticulously cleaned, it looked exactly like it did 51 years ago. PERFECT!!

UPDATE: The gloves you’ll see in the images, are actually from the mid 1800’s.  Laura’s GREAT GREAT GREAT Grandmother wore them on her wedding day.  We think it was around 1867.  WOW! They looked amazing!

Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Sacred Heart Cultural Center in Downtown Augusta, Georgia, Laura and Luke tied the knot.  I really have to say that loved their fall wedding.  Everything was decorated in fall colors and decor.  The weather was beautiful and just the right temperature.  This couple was so laid back and easy going.  The reception was filled with many friends and family having an absolute blast.

This past Saturday was wonderful. The weather is absolutely perfect for a wedding in Downtown Augusta. Jenny and Cory had their wedding on October 3, 2009 at 3:00pm at the Old Government House. The Old Government House is the original courthouse for the City of Augusta, which was built in 1801. Everything about the wedding was so nice and the weather just topped it off.
