The World of Coke

Last week was Spring Break for the girls and on Friday I took them to Atlanta and on Saturday visited  The World of Coke.  We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead and had a great time relaxing and swimming in their nice indoor pool.  Around 11am we headed down to The World of Coke.  I really enjoyed my visit there.  They had a short documentary film which some of you may remember.  It was a Super Bowl commercial, I think but they created some additional animation and kind of went a little further in explanation.  Here’s the commercial.

I had a 4D film about What makes a Coke, a Coke?  A mammoth amount of memorabilia, pop art, and the friendly Coke polar bear for photos.  My favorite part was sampling all of the different flavors of soft drinks produced from around the world.  Some good, some not so good.  Have some of photos from that day.

Here’s Haley watching some cartoons at the Ritz Carlton before we left.

Spring Break & Easter

So it’s spring break this week in Augusta and we all know what spring break week means in Augusta, Georgia.  That’s right, THE MASTERS.  My most time of year.  The time when I get to visit the closest thing to heaven on Earth.  Watching the game I love, seeing the beautiful course, eating some of the best sandwiches, etc. etc.  This year I’m visiting the course 3, maybe 4 times.  I also get to spend a bunch of time with Lauren and Haley and take them to the course and share my love of it with them.

I went on Tuesday and absolutely froze.  It’s April, why is it 35 degrees?  The course was perfect as usual.  Afterwards, we dyed a few Easter eggs with Lauren and Haley and rested the remainder of the day.  Here’s a few photos from the Easter Eggs.

I’ve been working through the shots from last Saturday’s wedding and will be posting some of those later.

Confessions of a Superhero

The other day I discovered a little gem of an independent film entitled “Confessions of a Superhero“.  I found it on Hulu.com while browsing for something to watch since there was nothing on the tube.  I personally love the movies.  Any movie.  Well, maybe not any movie.  I appreciate good stories and well written scripts.  This movie was just that.

It tells the story of four mortal humans who make their living working as superheros on Hollywood.  They are all inspiring actors/actresses in Hollywood, California.  It goes much deeper than them as superheros working in Hollywood though.  It tells of their past, their hardships, their day-to-day struggles in life.  It’s a documentary that I think kind of conveys the hard truth of Hollywood and the movie industry.  I really enjoyed the film and suggest you watch it as well.

You can watch the film below for go to Hulu.com and watch it there.  ”Confessions of a Superhero” gets an A from me.

Lauren’s Edible Arrangement

Monday, March 9th was Lauren’s (my oldest daughter) actual birthday.  We celebrated and had a party last weekend but she just had to get something on her real birthday.  My fabulous cousin, Sarah, in Bermuda was so great.  She sent Lauren an Edible Arrangement and it was delicious.  Check it out!

Las Vegas Shoot with Bob Davis

While in Las Vegas at WPPI, I had the privilege to attend a night shoot with Bob Davis.  Bob Davis is a Canon Master of Light and a highly respected wedding photographer in the industry.  Before Bob really began to focus on weddings, he worked for the Chicago Sun-Times as a photojournalist and worked with Oprah on many projects.  He also shot the wedding of Tony Parker and Eva Longoria.  Bob was so willing to share and teach us that night and really explain things when we had questions.

Here’s a few from that night shoot in Las Vegas.
