Augusta Snow Day 2009

Now while it is rare that we see snow in Augusta, GA, we did see some on Tuesday.  Both of the girls were already out of school, so even if we did have any accumulation of snow, it didn’t matter because of the school holiday.  It was pretty seeing it come down and we all had fun watching it and playing outside for a while.

I shot some video with my new Flip Video Camera.  Check it out below.

And as a little side note about the Flip Video Camera by Mino.  This little camera is the best.  It’s about the size of your average mobile phone, shoots excellent video (I have the HD one), has a sleek USB pop-out for easy downloading, and comes with the software to edit clips, send video cards or e-mails, make DVD’s, etc.  If you’ve been looking for a video camera that won’t break the bank, check the Flip out.

I’ve also been super busy booking wedding and getting ready for the wedding season.  A lot of the dates are filling up but I still have some to fill.  It’s going to be a super busy season this year and I can’t wait to get started.

The Longest Day: Episode #1

24 of the world’s top photographers recently got together to a short film for the upcoming Wedding & Portrait Photographer International convention.  They had to write, shoot, and edit an original short film about photography, AND an original PSA about the respective charity for which they are playing: ThirstRelief and Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep.

Here’s the first episode.  You can read more about the project over the F-Stop Beyond.

Happy New Year

I just wanted to wish everyone a very safe and happy New Year.  I didn’t anything planned until Kyle and I decided to go eat and then go on a short New Years Eve photo safari around Augusta.  We leaving early to beat the dinner crowds and I hope to be safely back home around 9:00 pm.  I guess getting older is keeping me a little more grounded.  I like being at home anyway.  I’l post some of the photos from tonight in the next couple of days, so stay tuned.

Also, stay tuned because tomorrow I plan on announcing two super awesome initiatives for 2009.  They are going to nothing less than spectacular and anyone is going to want to participate.  Check back tomorrow for more details.
